14b shaftplay wuestion

I have recently bought a used 14b and it has roughly 1/16 of an inch up and down shaftplay and no in and out play. Jus wondering if this is gonna be acceptable to use?

you should try running oil through it and getting a gauge to actually measure the play of the shaft. i'm looking at the factory manual for specs on play, but there is no spec. maybe someone else can chime in on that?

ya i think thats my best bet, thank you though. I also forgot to mention it is off the car with no oil. Also, when I said 1/16 of asn inch that was just a wild guess, the only physical test i did is grab the shaft and wiggle it up and down
