a long time ago cucumber made a post saying he turned his lower IC pipe around to use it to connect a 1G J-pipe on his 2g eclipse when he was installing his 14b to save the 70 bucks u spend on a j pipe..anyone else know if this works or how well? he said the piping ran over the intake so it was a tight fit but there wasnt any problems with heat or anything...anyone else know how well this will work? because i have a 1g j pipe and i really wanna use it!! ideas plz!

Im not sure how well cucumbers method works, but what me and a few othermembers here have done is cut you 2g LICP in between the two 90* bends and then get a 10" long pipe 2" in diameter with a bead laid on each end and place it inbetween the two bends on your ic pipe.

you said u cut it at the 90 degree angle marker with beads laid between? wtf are beads??? also would i still use my 1g J pipe? or does this take care of that

Yes it does work. It worked great for me until about 3 months when my LICP got a hole in it from stretching. So I went to NAPA and replaced it with a radiator pipe. The rad pipe costed me $6 and it held for 6 months now.

so your sayin instead of cutting the LICP just use a radiotor pipe??? whats more realiable...i can weld and all that fun stuff to

There are two 90* bends on your stock rubber "S" pipe, you want to cut in between these two bends. You will use the 10" long, 2" diameter pipe between the two bends on the stock "S" pipe, thats why you cut it.

A "bead" must be welded around each end to keep the rubber IC pipe connected to the metal pipe, and not come off.
