my friend is selling a 14b turbo with little side to side shaft play for $40!! i still have my stock t25 so i thought oh lucky me!!! only bad thing is he said that it burns oil. is it just a bad seal in the turbo or something? should i buy it and fix it myself?

just save up for a 16g
i bought a "used" 14b that didn't burn oil and just had some shaft play
like a month later i blew out the inner seal:(
spend the money and buy a new turbo atleast you'll be glad in the long run:thumb:

a rebuilt 14b turbo for a total of 100$ is not bad. if it has a good turbine housing... that is a good price. this means... if you can rebuild it yourself...

i would think so... they have worked for me and the ppl that i know who have used them. they have the normal rebuild kit for like 70 bucks... and they have a complete mitsu oem rebuild kit for 110... i dunno how much he charges but you could pm jusmx141 and see what he would do it for... key is to check the turbine housing to see if it cracked all to hell like most 14b's...
