14b boost psi advice

Ok so my egay 16g did great for dd at 16psi for about 2000 miles, but lasted 1 3rd gear pull at 20psi . So now I'm going to throw on a 14b until I can afford a real 16g. My question is what is a good boost level to run it at. I was thinking of going 20psi like on the 16g, but didn't know if I should go more or less. My mods are full 3in turbo back, pr fmic, rewired pump with afpr, evo IX 560cc's, cops, eBay tubular manifold, aem wideband, boost and oil psi gauges, and of course link v3. It's on a stock 6bolt block with 7bolt head. Thanks for any input.

I would suggest watching your injector IDC's as a good initial starting point. You don't want to be pushing more than 80-85% IDC. I would start off with 15-16 psi and see where that puts you and then adjust from there.

What is wastegate pressure on a 14b just looped over? I was thinking it was around 16, but I'm probly wrong . I'll throw it on and do a quick pull to see what they are at on 16psi. I'll also check back at that log from the 16g and see what they were at since the fake 16g probly flows the same, if not less, as a 14b. I know my buddy's 14b actually felt stronger than my 16g, and he is stock but also a gsx .

Gate pressure is around 9psi. With EVO 560s, you can easily push a 14b to over 20psi. You'll be blowing hot air at that point, so my question would be whether your FMIC can keep up. A friend's PR FMIC was recently removed from his 16g setup when he realized his charge temps were like 140+ through the traps. Since you have V3, are you running SD with an AIT in the upper IC pipe?

Nope no sd at the moment. I want to move to that eventually, but I can't even tune the maf right now without tons of help from the forum. Maybe after I get tuning down on this setup and after I get a new turbo, I might try and switch to sd. From what I've read it's more difficult to tune but a much better setup.

Nope. Its 7lbs.

How is gate pressure that low when my buddy has a 14b on his 2g running stock gate pressure and he is boosting 17psi? Does the 3in dp make it creep that much?

It's definitely 9 psi.

Do you all have any input on me throwing the 14b cartridge in the eBay 16g hotside? I think I can get away without unbolting my dp and switching my wb sensor to the 14b o2 housing, since it currently in the 16g o2 housing. I know people throw Mhi 16g housing on the 14b, but I don't know if the eBay would work the same. I'm sure if I did I would have to use the eBay wg but that shouldn't be a problem.
