This is my second attempt to post this thread, I appologize for any confusion if you read 2 threads ignore second. I have a 14b turbo and a big 16g but 1 of the 4 bolts on my 16g is broken and cant get it out, I tried. but my 14b has all 4 holes clear and I did some comparing on the 2 parts both 14b and 16g and both parts seem same and I also did some measurements and they seem same so my question is, can I still use the exhaust part of my 14b and use that part to replace it with the 16g exhaust part that has a broken bolt. is there a difference that can't bee seen with an eye or are they pretty much the same. I know that the compressor side of the turbo is different on 14b and 16g but the wheel and the compressor part but I'm not sure about the exhaust part. I searched some websites for turbo upgrading and some places sell a turbo that comes with only the compressor side (shiny side) and it comes without the exhaust end.ROFL
 
stay with the 16g if you go down youll just be pissed you didnt take the time to fix the 16g if you cant get it out try some easy out or if you have a machine shop around you they most likely can help you out for probally free if your nice to them.
 
The 14b and 16g both use the same TDO5H exhaust wheel. You can interchange the exhaust housings. The difference is that the stock housing on the 14b is stamped 060 and is a 6cm, the 16g's stock exhaust housing is stamped 070 and is a 7cm. The 060 housing will provide slightly faster spool, barely noticeable, but will choke the crap out of the 16g compressor's max flow. A lot of 14b guys use the 070 16G housing for slightly more peak flow.
