I was installing my new 14b tonight. Ran into a problem! I need resolved asap as my dsm is my DD

I do not have the banjo bolt for the turbo housing. I know the mitsu part number is MS650013. I am going to call them first thing in the morning to see if I can get it from them. My question is where can I go that would have this in stock? Also what is the length of the bolt? I know it is 12mm X 1.25mm but what is the length?

I also ran into some problems with the hard intake pipe.
1st what size coupler do I need to connect to the maf? I bought a no name brand off someone for $10. The height of the pipe is 3" the length is 4".

2nd. The intake has 2 nipples on it but I need 3 to connect to. pcv and valve cover and then one for the sensor? Which line can I remove to make this intake work?

I dont know of a store off hand, I know in my area I have a local parts store for all bolts and nuts, all sizes and materials. I special order parts if needed from them. So I would try to find a small hardware store, not home depot.

I included a picture of my banjo bolt for my 16g.

What MAS are you using? if its the 2g then its a 4 inch mouth. The inlet of a 14b is 2 inches (2.125 inches to be exact). You will need a coupler that translates from 4 to whatever size the inlet of the hard intake pipe is.

If you are going to mes with you PCV system then read this:

goodluck

^ That's a coolant line banjo. I'm not sure if they're the same length as the oil inlet banjo or not.

O.P.- if you run into a pinch, I have a bunch. PM me if you're interested....although the dealer should have some of these- they're a common bolt. The same bolt can be found on the outlet of the fuel filter.

I called mitsu and they have them in stock so the banjo bolt is resolved.

Yes I am using a 2g mas. I will get a 4" coupler. The hard pipe looks like a replica injen intake most likely ebay. It was only $10.

I have read the pcv info. That is why I asked the question. The hard intake only has 2 ports on it while the stock snorkel pipe has 3. I do not want to mess with the pcv system. Can I just deleted the vacuum line that comes off the sensor right under the mas.

I am not sure about 2g, IDK if you will throw a code for having problems though your evap and charcoal system. Sorry man, but if I were to give some advice I say you can delete it, people have removed all that extra crap in their cars (including me but I have a 1g). Just make sure you plug the hole so there are no intake leaks. check out this link: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...-speed-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.html

I currently have my 1g only running 4 vacuum lines: BOV, FPR, Pressure Source (for the wastegate), brake booster

sorry about that, I thought you meant coolant lines

heres a picture of the oil line for the turbo CHRA

Thanks for the link. That was exactly what I was looking for.

Got the new banjo bolt today....... started the car and the oil feed from the head dripped a little oil went to tighten it down a little.... SNAP:notgood: and the coolant line on the back of the turbo is leaking as well. So I went to mistu and ordered new banjo bolts may have to wait till Wednesday because of the holiday!

I feel like these banjo bolts are the devil!!!

FWIW, toyota uses those same bolts throughout their fuel systems, and they're a little beefier in the middle.

Thanks I called Toyota and they said that they would need the part number. I was told that they can not look the banjo bolt up by its dimensions. If you have the part number that would help out a ton!

Update: Everything is installed! I am not happy with the punishment racing j-pipe. The pipe was in the way of my linkage and I was not able to get into 4th gear or reverse:mad:. I had to take the pipe off bend it to make it work!
