I need to learn how to launch this damn thing. It is just so sluggish on the low end. ANy suggestions. Im was at about 16 creeping to 18 lbs.

I was thinking of doing that but thought i could just rev it up to 5k and launch it but i have to have a little load on it. Soo next time i will load it up like that. Hopefully ill have 2 step

I would guess you just need some practice. How are you launching the car and at what rpm?
I ran a 13.2 @ 102 with a 1.9 60' same boost as you. So based on your mph you should be at least that or better with a good start.

First of all, you don't just "have 2 step" you have to have a tuning software to do so.

Physically how are you launching the car? Dumping it slipping it etc.? It might help with your problem.

If nothing else, just practice.

I think putting a load on the car is what i need to do. I has to have a load to make boost. I should have tried that. I am going to get link for my next time down the track. It should be alot faster. I need a 2 step. It is just soo hard to hear your car and pay attention to everything when the lights are running down. I wont have to worry about it next time. By the way the first time i ran 14.6 dropping the clutch and 14.5 slipping it.

You dont need the 2 step to get a good launch. Bounce the rpms between 4500 and 5500 rpms and slip the clutch out as the rpms are going up.

There is definatly room for improvement. I ran a 13.3 @ 100.9 with a 1.7 60ft. You shouldnt have to put a load on your car to get a good launch. From the sounds of it you need to raise the rpms up some more. I am launching at almost 5600 off a 2-step. You without a 2-step should at least be that high. If you dont mind sacraficing reaction time and you are more concerned with running a fast time, once the lights turn green floor the car and when it gets to 5500 or so launch the car. That way you are launching under full throttle. It will take some practice to get the timing right but it will help.

Definately, what RPM were you trying to launch at. Being a manual, you don't "need" to build boost at the line to get a good launch. As said above you need to figure out what RPM to launch at (usually between 4500-5500 depending on mods/power level) and then figure out how fast or slow to slip the clutch out, once the car starts moving slip it out quick and step the go pedal to the floor. Just find a place and start practicing your launch (preferably a place where it will be considered legal and safe). But remember a track is going to be stickier and may require slightly higher rpms to achieve the same results.
