11 sec with Evo 3?

Is it possible to run maybe a 11.5-11.6sec run on 402meters with stock 7-bolts bottom with an evo 3?


Just fitted cometic head gasket and ARP head bolts, now im looking for someone who can tip me of a recipe on turbo and injectors for the 11sec car LOL


Specs right know:3"inch exaust from turbo with no cat, uppgraded oil cooler with AN connections, gizzmo chip.walbro 255 pump, fuel pressure regulator.

Greddy profec b boostcontroller.


Act 2600 clutch kitt.




Just bought apex s-afc II will use this to set up the car,or maybe a microtech system.WTF


Fastest stage 1 Evo 1-3 in sweden 12.27sec, only chip bigger exaust and 1.5 bar of boost.


Which turbo and injectors will push my car in the 11.5-11-6 mark?

I will not drive the car daily on the 11.5 sec setup :nono:

Probadly i use maybe 290-300hk daily who i use now on low settings on my boostcontroller.


Can this be done?, or will a have a engine failure when i try this :p

How much effect are we talking about to go near the time?

400-450? will the stock engine besides the gasket and the bolts handle this kind of effect only when i race 402 meters.

It could be done I suppose, with a ton of weight reduction and water injection or nitrous. Some cams and a FMIC in there too. As for injectors, I hear the biggest you can really go with a SAFC is about 650 cc's or so. If you get DSMLink, you can go as big as you'll need probably. There's plenty of turbo's that could get you there, and I can't really help you choose there.
 
Yes it can be done People do it all the time. Just take a look at the time track times that people have posted. It will take you more work than other with larger turbos but it is very possible. I would not recomend a clutch that strong on the 7-bolt. If this is just going to be for racing then sure but if its your dd car i would get something a little less agressive. For example take a look at the evo.. I know its like a different car but it weight about the same as our cars do 3300lbs and it runs high 12 low 13s on a 16g. stock so.. you should have no problem getting there with a good tune and the basics.
 
402 meters = 0.249791219 miles
basically the 1/4 mile, I was wondering what the hell 403 meters was.

Mid-11s on an Evo 3 16G? Go check the 1/4 miles times and see how many people have made that time on this turbo. If you want to hit mid 11s, get a bigger turbo. If money isn't an issue go with the FP3052 turbo that is sold by www.forcedpeformance.net

400whp is do-able on the stock 7bolt, there are many people on here who have done it with 50trim and bigger turbos. You will need to upgrade your intercooler and blow off valve to start off.
 
I've personally seen an EVOIII 16G go 11.9 with a 50 shot. It was a 93 AWD Talon on stock suspension. He ran it two years ago at Braggin Rights in Jackson, SC. It was on a stock longblock as well (other than cams).

A 2600 isnt that bad for a dd, but a 2600 on a 7 bolt is promoting cw (call me a hypocrite) but i wont put anything more than a 2100 in the thing till i swap to a 6 bolt :)

And yes its possible to run 11's on an evo 3 but on a 2g, you need some serious weight reduction!
 
my friends GVR4 with a 14b ran 12.3@109 ....full weight, stock suspension. EVO III will definately do mid 11's in AWD form. Beings that your FWD its gonna take some sticky tires and consistency off the line. it could be done though.

I agree with DGajre, you are going to have to spray the car or have some serious weight reduction (maybe even both) in order to get into the 11's in a 2G AWD.
 
The car is a evo 3, the eagle talon awd turbo 1995 modell is that car much lighter then the evo 3?

Has these cars the same engine? seen some talons who runs in the 11sec area with stock 7bolts bottom.


Do i have to spray the evo 3 with 16G big turbo so much if i want to reach the 11 sec mark, if i throw out the evo 3 turbo and install a turbo who can handle more power. Precision T & E SCM3231E: 480 H etc? or is it any other nearly bolt on turbo who works well.:cry:

will change the cams to HKS 272 also.

If you want 11's make it easy on yourself and go with a 50trim/20g or larger. Yes its been done but it will be so much easier and you have room to grow.

I'm not sure that too many (if any) people here are qualified to give advice on modifying an Evo 3. 99% of the people in this country haven't even seen one in person, much less modified one. I'd suggest checking out an Evo forum.

I agree with what ^^^ said. I assumed when you said Evo 3, you were talking about an EVO III 16G turbo, not the EVO III car itself.
