10 to 12 cranks to get my car started WHY?????

so i have a 1995 Eclipse gst with a few mods such as a 16G turbo FMIC, AFP regulator, speed density, and a walbro 190 fuel pump, and the car is tuned for drivibility, so as the weather been getting colder every morning or when the car sits for to long it takes about 10 to 12 cranks to get it started but randomly on certain days it'll take like 5 to 7 cranks I really need help finding out what can be causing this and i recently installed a CT sensor and it still does the same

The AFPR bleeds off fuel pressure and will cause you to have to repressurize the system. The cold start tune could also be a factor.

Exactly what I was going to say. After installing my AFPR it definitely takes more cranks to start up.

have you checked how your voltage is at each cylinder for the wires and at the coil packs?

Call me old school but when I had my old car - I would pump the gas pedal 2-3 times before turning it over and it would start right up. It was a carb setup compared to the fuel inection we have. However, I would give it a shot to see if it makes any difference.

ok so i should change my fuel pressure regulator is what your saying and i purchased a brand new oem Coilpack from extremeps.com for $171.00 and it still reacts the same way !! so change my FPR?? someone also said i shoud change my MFI Relay ?

^ Nope almost all aftermarket AFPRs leak pressure out. Just a side effect of the adjustability.

No, it's common for the pressure to bleed off from your afpr. just one of the things you have to live with having a modded car.

You can do the fuel pump rewire and run the power wire to a switch under the dash. You can leave it on and it shuts off like normal when you shut off the car. As soon as I turn on the key, my pump kicks on. Its also an added anti-theft if you make it difficult to locate and flip the switch when you shut off the car.

It was wired like that when I got it, and I'm not 100% sure which wire I have switched.

It doesn't even start when you turn the key to start Its a hidden push button start, but the key has to be in the "on" position.

Last thing what's the advantage of a rewired fuel, what will it potentially do ??
