Well, I have 200 miles on a new motor after the oil leaks were somewhat fixed enough to not worry about yet.
The problem just sort of started a month ago @ 25 miles.
At first when the engine was dropped in and the wideband installed, The car ran at 14.8 afr at idle and -18 vac at idle, it has a big16g running at just 9 psi stock wg till its broken in.
Well, I noticed at 25 miles in the breakin period, the car was warming up and idling really low like at 600rpms.. and my afrs were now 13.7 at idle, but cruising was still 14.7-15.3 and 10.6 at wot.
well it was very cold like in the 10's at the time so i blamed it on that.
Now its in the 50's and its still:
1. idles at 600rpms, rough
2. Idle afrs at startup will be 15.3 for a second, and then fall slowly in a 10 senond period to 10.9-11.9 at idle
3. sometimes when i rev it up in neutral, to 2k rpms, the rpms drop slowly and instead of retaining idle, drop below to about 300rpms and almost dies.
4. Gas mileage is terrible.
5. Cruising afr is now 13.6
???
Now, yes my BOV is recirced.
I deleted all the vac lines and canister @ 125 miles and the vac at idle went to -20.
I have (1) CEL and its for Fuel pressure Solenoid
I have a 190lph with stock Regulator
1G CAS timing is 5* BTDC
Cam timing is spot on
Boost leak test has been done, found no leaks
What could be the problem here?? Theres no unneccesary misfiring or studdering, when i get on it at wot it acts perfect
on a last note, While driving, say in 4th just cruising, when i let off the gas pedal to coast, my Afr's drop to 10.0 for about 2 seconds, then shoots up past --- where injectors shut off.. Is this normal?
Also I remember around 20 miles, i did a 2nd gear pull to 3k and let off the gas and the stopped at a stop sign, my rpms stayed at 2000rpms and wouldnt come down till i tapped the gas a couple times, but that hasnt happened since.
What could be the cuplrit?? Thanks
