It's been while but, I remeber that I knocked about a second off of my ET when I foot braked the car. Stomp on the brakes and bring the boost up. You will be amazed by the difference. :)

Started with 5 psi off the line and totally made my other runs look weak, especially my first time ever!

hell ya, getting better!,

I don't know much about 1g at's, but i think the 13g should make much more than 5psi at the line. don't be afraid to brake torque to around 2500 to 3000 rpms. I've had as much as 1.2 bar out of my t-2 small and leme tell you, that'll put you in you seat! if you can hit around there you should be able to get <= 2.0 60 foots, and that'll really help your times. The trick is letting go right when you boost is at it's peak... for me thats around 3k rpms and ~3 ~4 seconds of brake torquing.

At the track it's a bit tricky at first to do it just right and get a good R/T, but after a few trys you should be able to time your brake torquing so you hit your desired boost at just the right time on the light tree.

I think I start break torquing as soon as both mine and my oponents positioning lights are lit up... however i haven't had a good R/T yet, but hopefully this friday i'll finally get it right!

good luck!

Damn that. I ran my GSX at the track but unknown to me, the turbo/mani gasket had COMPLETELY blown out, looked like some chick out of a porn. Anyways, I still ran a 18.9 with no boost, then we tightend the shit out of the mani bolts and ran a 16 somethin with a whole 5 psi building after I was about halfway down. On the way to the track though I was hanging with my buddies 1g TSI manual, he ran a mid 14 and I was side by side with him so I was expecting alot better numbers. All I had done was a 14b and 450's. It had a hellacious launch to it. Now Im workin on a auto FWD with a boosted n/a engine.

WTF? Pressbent DP? Try putting a clothes pin on your nose and see how well your car can breathe! Replace that with a mandrel-bent DP then go back to the track.

my best time with a stock 99 gsx auto was 15.7 with just an injen intake! i haven't run it since i've gotten my exhaust and greddy BC and gauges put it.

I ran a 14.9 yesterday with a small 16g, 3" mandrel bent dp, greddy intercooler piping, greddy bov, mbc @ 13 psi. I was happy with my times i wanted a 14.7 in the worst way but i still am running threw my stock cat and catback so i should be running alot lower soon.

That sounds pretty close to what I ran with just a filter and a 1G BOV. I had a 15.9@87

Man, you should've dropped the rest of the exhaut form the DP back. On the stock exhuast you can run more boost than that. Turn it up and see what happens.

I run a 2.5" press bent dp. Whats wrong with that? Last time I went to the track, I ran a 12.96@107. Here is the link http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/data/506/25683DSC00017.JPG

That pressbent restriction is evident on your low end, but I can tell your tuned pretty well on the mid to top end. Honest truth, replace that DP with a 3" mandrel and make another pass, gaurantee you'll be sub 2.0 60' and gain a few mph on the top end.
But, I give you a lot of credit for NOT bench racing, like a lot of other asses around here :thumb:

No, the reason my 60' was so bad that pass was 1)I spun terribly, 2) While spinning, I blew the center diff. I have seen 1.8 60' times with this setup.

I didn't see any trans mods, so if you were able to pull a 1.8 60' with your setup, than more power to you. But, trust me, read a good book, and you'll see why that 2.5" pressbent DP is choking you up. The DP and 02 housing are the biggest restraints on any exhaust.

I think I know enough about my car and performance that I dont need to read any books. I know it is a restriction but it runs fine the way it is for the moment. When I install the 50 trim, then I will go to a 3"dp and o2 housing. Im not trying to be a smart ass, but I know what makes these cars run good and what doesnt. I built this car from start to finish and tuned it myself with no help from anyone other than my wife. The 2.5 pb dp doesnt hurt the performance of the 16g as much as most people think. Also, this car still has full leather, ac, power windows, power dl, and full interior. The only weight I remove from the car when racing is the spare tire and my tool box.

when my 92 gsx auto was stock i ran a 15.47. with a 14b i ran a 14.67.
