02 sensor eliminator?

well im thinking about getting the full 3" VRS SS ex. for a 1G with the 02 eliminator but my question is doesnt the car really need and depend on the 02 sensor to run properly. I thought you also use your 02 sensor to "tune" the car. Do i really need one or will the car run exactly fine w/out it. I may be wrong but i thought w/out an 02 sensor it will make the car run pig rich. Or is it one of those things where i need a whole bunch of supporting mods to make it work correctly.... o2 elim refers to eliminating the o2 housing.. not the o2 sensor.
the new d/p should still have a bung for your factory o2 sensor.

Correctimundo. It does not eliminate the O2 housing, just integrates it. You need that front O2 sensor.
