When FIBA Motorsport designs something, it is never in halves and never to lower the quality of the final product. You get the best that money can buy – period!

These are the long-awaited, HIGHLY REQUESTED 2G DSM short shifter B&M replacements, but readjusted to our own design. Things needed to be tightened up to FIBA spec and while at it, we also tightened up some tolerances and changed the shaft design.

By virtually eliminating play in the shifter mechanism due to its dual bushings, this kit provides a highly precise, consistent shift feel for drivers who demand maximum accuracy. This will give you the best direct shifting feel going! You do not want to have a sloppy shifter… And this will bring back the very best in shifting for your 2G DSM.

Made with top-quality materials for strength, reliability and adjustability, this gives you the freedom for options later on, plus it’s fully rebuildable.

These will be the NEW pinnacle for DSM shifters.

PRODUCT DETAILS

  • Billet CNC Stainless steel 316 grade main shifter shaft for amazing strength and corrosion resistance
  • Black coated for superior looks and subtleness
  • High-strength pivot shafts for superior strength
  • Billet CNC-machined Aluminum main housing
  • Main housing Anodized gold for corrosion resistance and great looks
  • Dual bronze bushes for lubricated movement, plus reducing unwanted play in the shifter with a wider load offered over the shaft
  • New hardware for the shifter
  • Removable shifter knob adaptor (stock M10x1.25 sized)
  • Adjustable 2-shifting throw locations just like B&M
  • Billet shifter boot upper surround will be available should you require a shifter boot to this specific design. Please see Jose Gonzalez’s page below in notes. He will make these custom boots to order to your specific specs for you upon request (separate charge, which is direct to Jose)

OPTIONAL EXTRA FEATURES

  • Two shifter knob options available – both made from Delrin/Acetal for strength. This also stops the cold/hot touching issues that plague metal shifter knobs
  • Longer shift knob for improved feel and grip with gel gear indicator on top (These are 70mm tall and a nice OD size for great hand grip)
  • Short baseball like EVO style for that homely feel (These are 55mm tall and 44mm wide allowing a nice palm grip)
  • Replaceable Billet housing pivot bushes should they wear out
  • An optional Billet lower pivot bush is available, if required OEM P/N MB307949
  • Removable shifter knob threaded adaptor can be replaced for a custom one, should you have a special shift knob that’s custom thread sized (custom adaptors not offered by me)
  • Note: Custom billet shifter boot upper surrounds will be available via Jose Gonzalez – you can contact him through either his Instagram gbotb_upholstery or through DSMtuners Jose_gonzalez. These are newly designed shifter boots designed in partnership with Jose (separate charge, which is direct to Jose). This not only helps the FIBA Motorsport product out, but many smaller vendors and DSM freelancers are a key part of our community, so it’s great to help be a part of their growth and support/work with others where possible.

These are going to be bolt-on to the factory shifter base and its lever arms.

Oooo .. have a target date yet? I'm a little tired of triggering my touch headunit when I shift into third LOL
I had issues releasing them last night but managed to do a basic work around for now but are available for the pre order now...
 
I volunteer as tribute/test mule if you ever do this for a 1G! Lol.
I have all the shifting bases and cables for the fitting/moving testing now. I did not some time ago but now I have it all but thank you for the offer dude

Oh, shit, I see now. That's about $700-750 after taxes, shipping, and duty. I'll keep it in mind but ROI on it just isn't there for me.
However, great that you're making products. The real important stuff to me, like the MC rebuild, would be much higher on my priority list if/when.

Shipping is free in the US so for Canda it wont be much more if in the pre buy date. as for the import taxes, yeah I cannot do anything on those im afraid. Canada has always had these issues. but thus nothing on that front is what anyone can do even if I was back in the UK it would still be present.

Import duties aren't endemic to Canada but they're there nonetheless. The exchange is the real killer, the duty and taxes on top are just the extra kick in the nuts. Anyhoo, great product -- hopefully ways will be found to bring down the price ;)

Yeah it is annoying. the US feel it now also when importing things they once did for free or lower value but now get stung.

best way is to drive your car to the US side and install it and drive back with it installed LOL easy way around it. or if a friends coming to visit for vacation. many ways to dodge the import side of it if your cunning enough

The 2G DSM short shifters have officially landed with us, and we’re excited for you all to finally see them mounted up and coming to life. This has been a long time in the making, and we genuinely appreciate the support from everyone who helped make this happen.

Why This Matters

Even though I personally run an auto setup, it was important to ensure support across the entire 2G DSM chassis range. That’s what we’re about—bringing ideas, drawings, and renders to life, no matter what.

Not many are doing this consistently… and even fewer are seeing it through.

We’re still a growing company, but we’re proud to already offer a range of unique, purpose-built parts that you simply won’t find elsewhere for these cars.

At FIBA Motorsport, this platform isn’t just business—it’s personal.

Important Note – Boot Surround Update
We’ve identified one issue:

The gold shifter boot surrounds need to be remachined.
The internal radius came in slightly larger than intended, which prevents proper seating.

What this means:
The surrounds cannot be installed yet
Everything else is 100% good to go
A remake is already in progress. ETA is currently unknown, but we’ll update you as soon as possible.

Orders WITH Gold Boot Surrounds – Your Options

Please let us know which option you’d like:
  • Option 1: Ship your short shifter now, and we’ll send the corrected surround later.
  • Option 2: Hold your order and ship everything together once the surrounds are ready.
If you see this before we reach out, please message us so we can note your preference on your order.

Orders WITHOUT Boot Surrounds - No delays here—these will ship as normal.

Final Notes.
Aside from the radius issue, everything else has come out exactly as intended and performs perfectly.

The 2G DSM Eclipse / Talon short shifter kits are coming together nicely and they are being pre-built for you to make installation as easy as possible and to not have as many installs or errors. It has been seen over the years that people install them backwards, and it causes all kinds of issues!

NOT with our kits! If they come assembled, that's easier for the end user and just another detail we supply with our setup and makes everyone's job a lot easier for the end user!

So from CAD designs to Renders and hype posting as it is called ;) , comes the final product! We like to deliver from out designs and renders, and our past shows this with pure dedication to the chassis in more ways than one!

We offer a HUGE range of unique products for the DSM chassis and this is no different than any other! Some are not tacked by any other brand but FIBA Motorsport loves to engineer and be innovative!
