Close to 2000 miles in the Michigan winter so far. Few minor bugs I’ve had to work thru so far but overall loving the project and the challenges.

I also love this. I've got an 03 with a EZ30D and 06 WRX drivetrain swap. Are you using the stock 5 speed for a trans?

Yes still using stock Subaru 5 speed. Made an adapter plate at work with some coworkers and luckily the clutch friction disks are same diameter. So it’s DSM flywheel and pressure plate with Subaru friction disc.

I've seen it all now.

No worries with a Southern car. 2” lift, ext. axles, headgaskets done. A cool 212k

Had my first major part failure recently, stock subbie clutch fork did not like the act 2600 pressure plate. Did find this appears to be common issue when putting HD clutch in the subaru. Got HD clutch fork and just waiting on the new throw out bearing to arrive. 

can i see a picture of the underneath of this thing? id like to see how the subframe looks and the oil pan ground clearance etc

Just sent you a DM. Would love to do the same thing for my GC8 stage car. Hoping to build off what you've done here to put a "Mitsubaru" on the ARA stages in 2026.

This popped up for me, looking at engine swaps for an 08 Impreza I'm getting for free. Sadly, it's a factory auto. Might have to look for a manual trans to do this with it, Id much prefer a 4G in it than an EJ (though my wife's 2010 forester daily is super reliable, exact same drivetrain).
