I have put zMAX in all parts of my car that came with the kit, they replace the parts if something breaks while you are treating it with it. You all ever used it before? if you have let me know, and also what other additives have you all used that you could tell a difference in? i.e. motor up, engine restore. let me know:thumb:

Even the regular motor oil you use contains Zinc. Zinc is added to help repair cylinder walls. That's how.

Does prolong work? It's expensive as hell, and sorry if this is a double post, but i was just looking for opionons...

thanks in advance.

All of those oil additives (the entire aisle at an auto part store!) are just fancy bottles that ALL DO THE SAME THING! They either make your oil thicker, or thinner. :p

It's not a liquid.

Each can of RESTORE contains billions of CSL microparticles in suspension in a neutral motor oil of high quality.
Each CSL microparticle contains Lead (40%) dispersed uniformly throughout a Copper (60%) matrix with Silver.

The CSL particles fill scratches, grooves and other worn out areas between the piston and the cylinder wall in the engine.
The CSL particles provide maximum natural lubrication due to their percentage of lead. This, even under very high temperature.
The action of RESTORE reduces friction and rebuilds metal surfaces, which restores lost power and reduces oil & fuel consumption.
It works effectively wherever friction and wear cut scratches in metal surfaces, such as cylinder walls, cranckshaft and bearings.

Haha, this is good stuff. I use a can of restore during each oil change, but only because it stops that lifter tick. It's not gonna magically make my car run a 3 second quarter mile on 87 octane as some people seem to think.

What are turbo bushings?

i used z-max (i think thas what it was called) on my previous car -94accord. Engine/transimission still ran great after 3 years of 75shot nos (z-max help??it didn't hurt.....), had autotranny and cooler, basics, msd digital, msd plugs, had high flow cat replaced a couple of times.......and now I got a 97gst spyder....a little slower than my accord on noz....
anyways have anyone tried using z-max on their dsm???? Anything good happened??? Anyone belieave products like those???

Zmax's claims are all fraudulent and should not be used in your, or any other engine. They have a lawsuit filed by the FTC and it's been found out that their additive with linkite is actually tinted mineral oil (household baby oil) that breaks down due to engine heat.

I will never add anything to my engine except Mobil 1 synthetic.

damn........i knew there was a law suit on zmax but didn't know it was like that......
thanks for the info =)

From what I've heard, read, and from personal exp., they are all pretty much a waste of time!

You would be much better off just spending your money on a good synthetic oil and changing it regularly. You could look at something like "Royal Purple" if you are really looking for a great synthetic.

There are ppl who would disagree I’m sure...but in my exp. and opinion...the additives are a gimmick and a pure waste of money.

I actually like Lucas Oil Stabalizer because its thick as tar and seems to stick to everything. I definately will give Lucas kudos for making that stuff and I use it with every other oil change just for added safety.

But thats my opinion. I dont believe in slick 50 because personally... When you hold that bottle upside down it comes out like water, but when you hold lucas upside down it sits there for a while. You actually gotta pour some normal OIL into the bottle with that and slosh it around to get the rest of that lucas out.

AND IT LOOKS COOL!
