I have put zMAX in all parts of my car that came with the kit, they replace the parts if something breaks while you are treating it with it. You all ever used it before? if you have let me know, and also what other additives have you all used that you could tell a difference in? i.e. motor up, engine restore. let me know:thumb:

I've been using the NOS off-road octane booster. Its supposed to raise the octane by as much as 7 points. It's $10.00 a bottle. I dont know if it really raises 7 points but there is a night and day difference on my cars performance.

I really need a datalogger!

That is something I would like to know too. I was under the impression that most if not all of the airport gas was leaded. I wonder if there is a high octane airplane unleaded, available. Can you fill up your car at the pump or do you have to fill up a gas can and then put it in your tank?

I talked to a guy today that sells the VP and said something about a high performance blend that isnt labeled C-xx.I personally like c12 mix.Had a knock value of 28 constant,While dynoing it for 91 (290HP282lbs tq.@15psi).The next day mixed some of that c12(2gals) to little less that half tank.Pocket logger said knock was gone on the first run.Turned up the boost to 20 lbs into 3rd gear ,knock happened only when I switch gears.I think due to Motor mounts. But long story short just mix it and save your money and O2 sensor. The higher the octane,Especially the leaded types,The faster the kill

Unless I am runing C-16 a gallon of Toluene does wonders for a octane boost.

Turbo Buick guys have been using Toluene (poor mans race fuel) for a while. If you can get it in bulk its very cheap.

i will agree here had a 1978 elcamino the guy that had it before me swore by the stuff and used it all the time had so many problems after i bought it i finally sold it and got my dsm:D

My work just got some NOS engine treatment and oil additive in, and I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on whether or not this stuff is a good idea to add to your oil. My main concern is that on cold weather starts, it turns over really really slowly, and I get a lot of lifter tapping.(seems excessively loud!!!) I run 5w30. I was hoping that this stuff would maybe coat things a little better and maybe lessen the damage being done inside. What do you guys think? It's only a 1.99 a bottle, and with my discount from work it'about a 1.50. Just wondered if it was safe or worth it.

I can't speak for the NOS stuff but I use that stuff called Restore. you can find it most places.

My 92 used to rap like DMX, and smoke like Snoop Dogg,, 1 can of that stuff and they quit both of their bad habbits!

Dropped my oil consumption from about 2-3 quarts every 3000 to 1/2 to 1 quart.

Restore is the only stuff that i use ,98 tsi awd is right about that. i have been using the stuff for years now.

Personally I don't use any of em. But Restore would be the only one I'd ever recommend. I've never heard bad things about it. Stay away from anything with PTFE in it. Teflon is for frying pans, not for motors.

anyone try that ZMAX stuff? i heard its real good for high mileage engines and tranny. i was thinkin about giving it a shot, anyone have any expierence with it?

look at 1000vfaq it think they have a list off additives that have lawsuits filed against them, and how many of them are junk, no mention of restore though.

i have the vmax kit and seen a big difference in cold starts and gas consumpton, but for it fixing anything i could not tell you because i did not have any problems before i used it, it does have a warranty, it should for $40, its worth it
