That car is a true work of art. I do agree that some things about the engine could've been done different to make it more reliable from the factory. That's why I'm just following the reliability mod path with it, like keeping the excessive heat out of engine bay, silicone vacuum lines and not worrying about making a lot of power just to enjoy the car for what it is. My dsm makes enough power to satisfy those needs. ;-)

^Wow, that's probably some of the best I have ever seen. And the fit up must be top notch too, to carry a weld like that...

I'm running way behind on my projects to get the car done for summer. Spent the weekend getting the valve cover mostly done. Struggled a bit with the welding because of the large thermal mass and how simple my machine is. It didn't matter because I was planning on blending the welds. Anyway these are -12 fittings. They'll compliment the two -12 fittings I am planning for the bottom end.

Aaahhh yes... those are tasty looking Was going to ask you if you could easily do a t4 version of your dsm manifolds? I'm not sure if it would be open other TS, but im looking for an open style. Could always send you the hotside or whole turbo once I get to that point as well, just a curiosity. as always, awesome work man

I have never welded. Closest thing to it was soldering wires for my speakers. What's needed to weld? I really want to learn and would like to buy a welder. What would you guys recommend for starter like myself?

mainly stuff for the car. being able to weld to make AN- connections with my water lines. i see some people turn the 2.5 tubing of the intercoolers to 3 inch tubing. being able to weld that. i also see a lot tig welds going on. something i really would like to start practicing

I have a miller dynasty210DX and @Gamble97 hates on it , it's by no means a hobiest machine but in my opinion the dynasty line is the best out there that i have seen period

yea i would have liked the dynasty but i dont tig a lot but for what i do the lincoln is perfect--i have made my own headers with it before on a rzr 900xp for turbo applications

As much as, I really enjoyed pipe welding and such. I always knew that I got into welding because of cars and my passion.

Just got a job at TopSpeed Motorsports! And even though I will be making a lot of parts for GTRs, the dsm's are still my thing

Unfortunately, i'm the only welder/fabricator here, so there will be a lot of very long nights and weekends....
