This is a picture of my car a few days ago, right now it is primed black and awaiting a new paint job, my Idea is to paint it a gloss black, and maybe do a tan stripe where the blue stripe is, to match my interior.

Yes or no to the tan stripe?

I'm trying not to make it look tacky or too rice. because it's not a fast car, I just want it to look nice, and unique, but not to "in your face"

Here it is as of right now

Please do not do that. Any striping on a car that did not come with them looks like shit. It will look much, much better without it.

I probably wouldn't do a tan stripe, but if you do, make sure it goes from bumper to bumper, not just the hood, and I would suggest to put it on the other side of the car. I saw one that didn't look bad with a similar stripe mirrored so that it ran over the hump in the hood. I would just get some bronze wheels (or just paint whatever wheels you have bronze) which are the closest wheel color to tan that look really good on a black car. Looking at your pic you have some aftermarket wheels already it looks like, so you may not want to do this.

Here's what I was talking about ... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3211424

1. Remove Stripe.
2. Buy large amounts of carbon fiber
3. Panda car with carbon fiber
4. Awesomeness ensues and women flock to your car rubbing it clean with their breasts.

No offense but no stripe man. If you don't wanna stick out like a ricer or whatever its gotta go. Go with something flat like flat black or white. Your car looks like its in pretty good shape as it is. I just feel the stripe takes away from that

Please don't do a stripe. If you do do the stripe however and you decide to paint it on then please do so in a small room with no ventilation

Did you REALLY think anyone was going to say YES?

Don't do it. BUT...if you like stripes, I say go for it. If I see you on the streets though, I'll tap my gf on the shoulder, and we will both make fun of you.

*If you put the right wheels on, carbon hood on gloss black would look nasty*

definately not a tan stipe with glass black paint.

I have seen striped done well, even though it is not my personal preference

As far my 2 cents, I think you shoudl ditch the idea, dsm dont need racing stripes traveling the length of the car.

if anything you should get a black/carbon fiber hood, and black, carbon fiber hatch to match. I think that looks nice as hell, kinda like the 1g two tone, where the hatch and roof are black

goodluck

LOL this picture is in the rice thread....

Say No To Rice, Before Its Too Late!

Here's a great word of advice, clean, awesome paints are just sex. Candy Red, Black Cherry, Wet Black, Alpina White, Aztec Blue, is cool!

Stripes, Vinyls, Graphics, Flames, Old english Lettering, is not cool!

If I see you on the streets though, I'll tap my gf on the shoulder, and we will both make fun of you!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROFL :tease::(

I am not in 100 percent agreeable with this. If you do it right some basic graphics can look good. Or even stripes to separate colors. Just not some F&F stuff. Please no Vinyls!!
If you insist on a strip and want to bring the tan on the outside use a metallic light goldish color. Like what comes on the GM vehicles.

I personally only like racing stripes on mustangs, ta's, cameros, firebirds, chargers, and vipers, ohhh and srt 10's
