Yellowed headlights

Ok, my headlights are REALLY yellowed bad. How can I get rid of this? I don't want to order new ones yet, but how can I get rid of it?

Sand them with 400 grit sandpaper until the discoloration is gone then, 1500 to smooth them out then buff with polishing compound and a high speed buffer until clear.

whats weird is, i bought my car like this,...
one of my headlights is yellow really bad, one isnt,... the one that isnt, has a hole about the size of a quarter in it? could the ventilation be the reason why its not yellow?
