Alright, so I'm just about to junk it to be honest, I spent $5,000 on the car, plus another grand or so modding it and its come to the point that the headaches are getting to be too much. I have everything set up, I removed the turbo timer and I'm getting myself a harness to install it. I taped up every wire, ect. Now I go to start the car, it gets power and first, I try to crank it and it dies. Then it gets no electrical power at all for a few mins. Then it does the same shit.

Anyone know what it could be before I go ape shit and throw away $6,000.

Most likely when you took out the TT, some wires either are touching or not covered all the way. The ignition wiring in the steering column and under the dash is very sensative. I would spend the time and retrace every wire that has been cut / taped / taped into and make sure everything is hooked together correctly.

It is not the cars fault but whoever owned it before most likely hacked up the harness to install the TT which is causing major issues. Dont blame the car, blame the people that work on them incorrectly.

Check your grounds and battery cables also....

+1 w/turk

It is resolved LOL.. My father that is a doctor came over and noticed that the ground wire on the battery came ungrounded and pointed it out. And my girl is checking this fourm for me every once in a while seeing , Im having alot of trouble with the car lately and she runs out to update me on what to check / look for.

In that case i would go through everything on the car to make sure nothing else is hacked up / done. What other problems are you having?

Was having a boost leak issue, now we got the FMIC on and what not but got to readjust some pipes because the cuffler wasnt tight enough and the pipe came out when I started the car. But Im idling at 1k now.

Runs like a champ except that I make a J pipe (using the stock cloth pipes and the stock j pipe) and it came apart at one of the bindings, besides that the only problem is that the pipe is in the way to the shift linkage and I gotta move them around. First I'm going to cut and mount the bumper than I will be able to measure the push back when the bumper is mounted so I can cut the pipe to size. And hopefully I can get my ghetto J pipe to work (pushing 18 pounds of boost, going to turn it down to 10) until I can buy a good working one, but I have a new born so I cant just throw money around to buy one, get the nipple welded and if anything re-fitted since there are bills to pay and diapers to buy.

Thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it. I haven't modded any of my cars in a few months and have just been doing the usual repairs, oil chances and so on at work. Forgot how everything and anything can and more than likely will #### up. Just gotta get up, go back to the drawing board and if that fail, get a bigger hammer.

That's funny. If you have any prob just ask. I have been professionally working/diagnosing cars for over 15 years now. These are niche cars and this is the best place to ask for advise. We have all been there many times before. And even the best of us learn new things everyday.

Yeah, tell me about it. I've been doing this professionally for about 4 years now and see and learn new things almost every day. I remember about 2 years ago a guy brought in a DSM with really bad rod knock, I mean HORRIBLE knock, turns out he spun not 1, but 2 rods, I had never seen that shit before and it had me scratching my head wondering how the hell you could do something like that without putting something through the block.
