just curious if there are ways that i can test or look at to see if my xfer case is still ok becuase i have been driving on 2 front bald tires and the back were new so they were spinning slower u know.....anyway and the guy before me might have done ebrakes too. so if theres a way that would be nice and to what extent is the recall on these things. just the leaks? or what if its just bad. would they replace? :thumb: :talon:

Your transfer case should be fine from that. Its only when the fluid gets so hot from having one side spin and the other doesn't that it gets fried and locked up. Its not good for it to have different sized tires on it, but having worn tires on the front and good ones on the rear isn't the end of the world...just get new tires.

You can always drain the fluid and see how it looks...its never a bad idea to put new fluid in the case anyways.
