i was installing a new "used " trans today, and the transfer case will not "fit". Let me explain, when I try to slide it on the output shaft, it like hits the oil pan, not letting the case sit "level" to slide on. I have done countless xfer case removals/installs, and this has me baffled. I tried everything, including loosening trans bolts to give me more of an "approach" angle. It seems like one of the three bolts holdimg on the little cover on the top of the transfer case is hittiing the pan. Something is out of wack/alignment, and I cant figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
