uuuuhhhhh, whatever. AWD doesn't spin in 3rd, it bearly spins in 1st.
I wanna see some Dyno numbers....

MJ

Actually 4wheelsNmotion , Kevin has a FWD.......I do the same thing ...sometimes I'll turn them in 4rth....if the streets are wet 5th.
Come on down & I'll show you a white GSX AWD that spins them in 3rd.

Sure thing 4wheelsNmotion. I'll send u a number via PM. Dyno numbers are on the ways as soon as they get that thing in the ground. I also want to get my 660 in b4 that but we'll see how the timetable is at that point. I'm interested in seeing what she does as well.

What kind of power does it feel that thing is making. If you are breaking the tires loose in 3rd, it must be putting down some jack. That turbo looks tiny, BTW. Aisan, your car is FWD, right? You could go to any dyno and have the car run.

MJ

Not sure, since I've lived a very sheltered life when it comes to cars. I'll have to let someone drive her so I can sit in the passenger seat and get a feel. Then again there's a certain T28Killer and Green turbo that I know :D

It's no 60-1 but it barly fits. The wastegate is almost in the passenger side fan  More reasons for me to get a review up. Ok that's this weekends project.

Yep it's the underdog FWD version. Reason for the lack of dyno time is:
1) She doesnt feel quite ready yet w/out 660
2) Arranged a little something-something ;)

Vids available, but need place to send files. One launch is at 3500 RPMS and the other is at 4K. Still on stock injectors, stock fuel pump, stock downpipe, stock cat, and two peeple in the car. Anytakers on providing space?

check out dsmgarage.com for a spot to post ur vids

and 15 psi should be fine, even on an upgraded turbo as long as he has an upgraded fuel pump. Oooh, I just saw he has a stock fuel pump. Do you have a logger for that? How are your knocksums? He's cutting it close with stock pump and injectors.

That is my curse for now. I do play it safe and work up in small steps. The fuel delivery is on it's way as for all the metering devices. I did however manage to turn some heads out on Westhiemer (local large conjested race street). This was her first time out since I installed her due to all the rain. Instead of spouting out kill stories, I'll wait to get the hard facts. Let's just say I've begun to open this turbo's potential and my need to relearn driving this car.

from a roll drop into the 3800-4K range for boost
during shifts (2-3) lag rears its ugly head. But it'll make up fast
Launching, well I'm a FWD and with moist roads trying a 4500 launch
didn't work
Made my exhaust manifold glow :thumb:

Thanx Andy and Wade for the fun runs and giving this turbo a proper break in. Oh yeah, how does a passenger and 50+ lb sub box in the rear add into last nights performance?

If I told ya, we'll . . . . :D Let's just say it's under the column of hook-up. Boost reaches positive (+/- 0) roughly around 2500. Full boost (set at 15 for the moment) is now seeing it as soon as 3500-3800 rpms. The porting I did past weekend helped out quite a bit.

hmm.. i was just reading about this.. and i was really thinking about what turbo to upgrade to.. and i didnt really want to get the 2g install kit.. but i also didnt want to go with a T28.. so how much did the whole turbo setup cost? u dont need the 2g install kit but still need the 1g oil return line right? not needing the 2g install kit saves some money so thats always a +.. i checked the turbochargers.com website..
http://www.turbochargers.com/turbochargers_pages/eliminator.htm
but kinda confusing on the explanation on choices, prices, etc.. :shrugs:

Yeah, have to give it to the boys at Tchargers for a confusing site. But, there's a new one up. I didn't see the eliminator on it anywhere, but call in and ask for Wade.

All u will need is the oil feed line. The water lines and return line are all reusable.
