WTF happened to all the NJ guys?

Oh great, I spend the whole day getting my car down there, and now your saying those guys are no good???
BLOWN HG!! MY GOD, YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! OMG

Don't say that man, I've got heartburn now.

I took the car there to finish the project, and they were recommended to me by someone very reputable. I do conduct my own tuning, however, I need the car running properly. I had them tune my last setup, and it was fine. A friend told me they tune real lean, but heck, I was 11.7/1?? That's not too, too lean.

They probably won't even be done by this weekend anyway.
Your killing me man.

^^^ I'm only going by my own experiences as well as other local DSMer's feedback, I'm not saying they don't know what they're doing, you don't run 9's without knowing your shit, however, this doesn't always translate into doing good work on customer's cars, especially if you don't own an EVO/STI/Supra while spending $$$$10k+. Without turning this into a vendor review, let's just say I used to take my car there all the time and rarely do I ever go home without issues, they're the reason why I started buying tools and becoming active on DSMtuners. In a weird way, I owe them pretty much everything I know today. There is only one guy that I trust in that shop, unfortunately, he only works on transmissions.

Okay, I can take little comfort in that...:(

Well, we'll see I guess? I didn't know where else to go, I was totally stumped for over a week. I just moved here, and don't know many people, or squat about this place. Couldn't take it no more. I take much pride in learning, and doing things on my own, just this time I needed some professional assistance. I have invested to much money into this project to feel uneasy about it. My other DSM, sure, I learn, go through some trial and error, but not with this kind of $$$KKK investment. Professional assurance will help facilitate the learning process, as well as ensure success.

Thanks for the insight, better to know... than not. :thumb:

Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting you guys, with the car or not! LOL
So, the newbie still got to buy the beer?

the guys name is Keith right????

I just read through some threads on NJTuners, now I think I'm going to throw up. Any I'm not speaking metaphorically.....:barf:

Yeah.. I saw those and was like WOWW.. That's why I didn't go to them for my tune.. What are they doing to your DSM?

look what i post on the newbie forum ,the title says "problem with clutch",check out my last post

I get the point, I don't need to hear or see more. I'm already losing my mind. I'm not kidding, I almost puked.

Look guys, I'm not intending to break topic, or turn this into a Vendor Review, but PLEASE HELP!
I'm not from here...tell me where to go, who do I need to see. Who is the man around here. (or women)

These guys aren't going to touch the car until at least tomorrow afternoon, most likely Wednesday. I still have time to break contact.

All I need is someone to assure my own work, fix a transmission problem, and tie up a few loose ends I don't have time for. (i.e; oil pressure guage, egt, & in car MBC)
All that stuff is secondary, I can take care of that.
All I need is a professional to fix the transmission/ clutch problem, and double check my work. Get the motor running good, and broke in.... Then conduct a through tuning.

Guys, help me out here please. Where do I need to go.

Correct.

Hate to say this but "I told you so". :tease::p

NJTUNERS has about 90% retards and the other 10% kind of know their stuff. They're just part of the other import crowd. The guys that know their stuff all have 11 second srt4's and such. I've been fighting very hard to enlighten the younger DSMers on that site, but ti's not working

Anyone see my cold air intake debate on njtuners? LOL

No but I'm gonna search for it now

What the hell is njtuners? Is that the same as njdsm?

No it's not. It's small, seems like only a few 4g63's. A buncha honduh's :tease: but it seems that they are fairly good at getting meets together and not having them being broken up by acting like retards so they can't all be bad
