Hey all.
Would it be smart to drive a good working order 1993 AWD from Ontario Canada to Santa Ana California?? I might be getting a job out on the west coast and Iam thinking it would be nice just to keep my baby and drive it out there rather than selling it and flying then having no wheels for awhile.
I just know these arent the best cars for long haul reliability and the last thing I need is a break down. have you taken yours for the long haul??
Any opinion would be much appreciated!!
Thanks

Many of the reliability issues you hear about come from owner abuse (hard launches, too much boost, little/no maintenance).

Remember you have a 11yo car. So depending on it's current condition and if maintenance has been kept up on it.. should have no problems on your trip.

Thats what I thought. Itll have new tires and rims, all new fluids, new waterpump, t-belt and tensioner, plugs, wires, fuel filter, and a fire extingusher riding shot gun. And the boost will be dropped to 12psi.
Should be fine I guess.

go for it first time i got my dsm i have to drive it 3 hours with crankwalk, a bad hub bearing, missing lug nuts, no window and i made it and i rather drive it then my honda so go for it just make sure not to rod it plus heat wont be to big of an issue since your up so far.
