would GM MAF be alright for fuel control...

Hey guyz, I was planning on getting a GM MAF and having a complete blowthru setup on my 2G GSX. You can check my profile and I do have all the supporting mods. I would just like to know if I would be able to run this setup without hitting fuel cut all the time. I've read that you can adjust the translator for air/fuel and stuff like that. Just curious if anyone knows if this would be alright until I come up with some money to get an AFC. Thanx in advance. :dsm:
 
I want to say that V2 of the MAFT is really not supposed to need an AFC at all. I think it is much more adjustable than V1 was. I know several people using it on their cars with much success even without an AFC. I have one on my car but I use DSMlink (to combat MAS overrun).
 
What FMIC you have on? I noticed in the pics gallery, you have both 2G mas and GM MAFT setup. How do you do that? :thumb:
 
I have version 2.xx MAFT on blow through and have been able to get my fuel trims right around 0 pretty easily without an AFC. I don't have a bigger turbo, but in the instructions, it tells you how to combat fuel cut by dialing back one of the switches in the MAFT. The only disadvantage to this is that you need to go under the hood to make changes, but you can order cable extensions to run the MAFT inside your car, but you need to drill through your firewall.
