gm maf

hey, i want to get rid of my stock maf. i know that i need to get the gm maf, but what else will i need to 100% get rid of the stock maf. i have a 97 gst, in case you need to know. also, when doing this, will i be able to run my bov to the atmosphere? any help will be appreciated. thanks

by the way, can/do i run this on the ic pipe or do i run it on the intake? thanks again.

If you want to vent the bov to the atmosphere you will need to custom fit it on the upper ic between the bov and the throttle body. You also have to buy the maft (didn't know if you knew that or not but it's about $200). Dejon tool sells a nice adapater piece.

If you are doing this mod just to vent then I would recomend against it. Venting is not really an upgrade even though I will be the first to admit that it sounds really cool. This setup will cost you more than $300 easily, more if you want a nice adapter for the upper ic. I see in your wishlist that you want a 16g and this $300 plus would be better spent towards that upgrade.

Also if you wait to do the gm maf later (like I am) then you may be able to use one without the use of the maft whenever dsmlink gets around to adding it as an available a/f sensor. Or going with the aem ems later when you need it. The aem ems has ebc too so thats another $350 plus saved.

Unless you are outflowing the stock mas (which I doubt) don't do this yet.
