I am so ashamed!!!! :thumbdown :cry: OMG OMG

I ran today 3 times at the race track and i am so pissed at my peace of SHi#$ car. I guess if i don't do the 2.4L swap on this Cr@#$ I GUESS I will get a Turbo eclipse. ( I like eclipses a lot)

Damn I hate this car!!! (but i love it in some how)

I wanted to be at least in the high 16's!
but no! I guess i have to set my adjustable cam gears because i started good ahead of the other people. 1st against tomeek (95gs-t), second (honda si 02) stock, 3rd (02 acura rxs-?). BTW check the times, because it is desorganized (the middle one first, them the left one and the last one is on the right).
So like i said, i started good but in the end they catch up to my in by third gear! I guess I should test my car on the dyno and check the compression of the engine again.
What a bad day!

Fu@#, that is the problem, it is a manual. there is something wrong in there after 3rd, it slows down a lot.
 
listen I own a 2G gs-t and on a humid day i got a 16.6 thats bad 4 a turbo. than again last night it was 69 degrees and 50% humid and i raan 15.2. I saw a gs, rs,(2.0 420A DOHC) and a gs spyder (2.4l 4G64 SOHC) run 18s then the rs ran a 15.9. I had a non-turbo and they all sort of die in3rd gear. don't beat yourself up about it, just practise double clutching, and fast shifting, thats what makes an N/A run faster. also 17 flat or better is pretty good for a N/A. :thumb:
 
also your R/T sucks balls :barf: try 2 get a .700 ot better :thumb: If u look at the time slips, take .400 of that R/T and your in the high 16s :thumb: .

The reaction time has NOTHING to do with elapsed time.

I went last night. I made 2 runs and it got it got dark so I couldnt run again cuz im night blind. Here goes dont lauph this was my first time running at the track.

My first run i made 17.8, I bogged the launch and mishifted 3rd.
Oh yea only weight reduction is complete removal of A/C system and no spare tire, but I did have my sub/box/amp all in the trunk. I wanna go back for revenge damnit my time sucked. 91 octane gas with a can of octane booster in it. I prolly shouldnt have filled it up at the time But whatever I'll go back sometime soon
 
Dont feel bad the first time I ever went to the track my worst run was like 18.1 or something shitty like that. :puts head down: Its all good. We have good days and bad ones. Also good job for consistency. It looks like youre losing the most of your time in your R/T. If yu can get that down to 0..6 or 0.7 thatll shave that much or your final E/T.

Your best is about the same as mine, why is my 1/4 Et lower but your 1/4 MPH faster? we were about dead even at the 1/8? :confused:
 
There are SOOOOO many variables to a run that to put it in words over the internet is pretty hard.


Shifting has alot to do with it.
When you shift and how fast you are at it. It has everything to do with your powerband.


And to put some emphasis in what was said above.

R/T has NOTHING to do with your speed or time at the end of a run. :thumb:

Oh and reaction time has NOTHING to do with 1/4 time on fundays. :laugh:

I guess is allright for a N/A. I fell a little better now.
But I want to go better. I wish i could do the 2.4L swap and be running better numbers.

dont feel so bad, try driving a 2nd gen eclipse with the 420A and an automatic transmission... i will be happy with mid 17s, also my car bogs down in the middle of second right around 4k, i guess its an N/A thing
