I was driving down the road and my 95 eclipse rs turned off, now it won't start. Its getting spark and it'll start if i spray starter fluid into the intake. I can here the fuel pump turning when i try to crank it. What could be the reason for it not starting. How can i check my CAS or my CPS

Your cas and cps have nothing to do with fuel. If either of them were bad, you would not be getting spark.

Disconnect your fuel return line off the fuel rail, And have someone crank the car for a second, while putting the hose in an empty container (So you do not cause a mess). If no fuel is coming through, You know that fuel is not getting to the rail/injectors. If that is the case, You can start by checking your fuel filter. If the fuel filter is clogged, It will no longer be able to push fuel through, To the rail, Depending on how bad it actually is.

If you replace the fuel filter, Or at least d/c the line at the other end of the fuel rail and do the same test as above, You'll know if fuel is passing through your filter. If you remove the fuel inlet hose off your rail, And crank the car (same as above, use an empty container), And fuel comes out, You know your fuel filter is pushing fuel through although it could still be old/slightly blocked. If fuel comes out, Then you have other problems. If fuel does not come out, Then you need to follow the fuel lines even further back (the fuel pump, Make sure it's actually pumping the fuel up to the enginebay. Even though you can hear it ''turning on'', that does not mean it is pumping the fuel up to the engine.

Just follow it in steps as above. You will be able to easily diagnose the problem, With little time involved, And no money being spent, For right now. If you need any more help, Just post back up.

ok im getting fuel to the rail. I've been searching and people have been saying this could be an ecu problem or something about the injector resister pack? Everything has been for the 4g63 though, i have the 420a. I'll test and see if my injectors are pulsing or if i even have power to them and what not. I'll post back up in a little bit. Thanks for the help

ok i put a tester light with pins on both sides into the plugs that go into the injectors. None of them lit up when my friend was cranking the car. Im guessing this means they're not getting power. But i do have fuel to the rail. What would cause this? I read something about leaking caps in the ecu. I i didn't smell anything around the ecu. How do i check them?

i just replaced the coolant sensor and still no luck. I'm not even getting power to the fuel pump now but no fuses are blown. Also i heard a high pitch whining noise coming from the ecu. Does this mean anything?

ok so i figured out the problem was a faulty crank sensor. I replaced it and it fired right up. So this is advice to all 420a owners. If your having no start problems check your crank and cam sensors. Everyone told me there was no way the it was my crank sensor becuase i had spark and fuel to the rail but no injector pulse. They said that if the crank sensor went out, then i would have no spark and no fuel. Well i guess the 420a is different than other engines. But anyways thank you all for the help.
