:beatentodeath::beatentodeath:just installed a weapon r intake manifold on 2g dsm and now it just starts revs to 1500 and dies it will run if i hold the gas down but then will die with foot off the gas . i hooked up the fpr bov brake boost and boost gauge to back of manifold tied t body lines together and the lines from canister underneath together pcv plugged no visable leaks 0 vacuum on gauge and profec b when it turns on any ideas will help thanks

Most likely the intake manifold gasket is leaking. Hook up a boost leak tester.

you mentioned that you just changed the intake manifold...did you replace the gasket with a new one?? are all the bolts tightened... have you done a boost leak test??? Im not sure about your routing for all your gauges seems that you have alot tied into one line. 0 vacuum could also inticate a loss of compression but I think it may be related to your positioning but i could be wrong.. I would definatly start with the boost leak test

You sure didn't learn much by having your thread closed did you?

As I said in the PM I sent you before your previous thread was closed for your horrendous grammar, you have an obvious leak. Reading 0 vacuum at idle means that air is not being pulled past the TB, but is leaking into the intake ports or intake mani from somewhere else. Make sure you capped off all the vac line nipples that aren't connected on the mani, and then if you still have this problem, use a smoke test to find where air is being drawn in.

Please start using capitalization and proper punctuation, it'll save you a ton of headaches on this site.

i want to try the smoke test but dont you have to hold the car at 2500rpm while doing it. i used a brand new intake mani gasket sounds like a loud pop from timing belt side but i see nothing any other ideas
