I have a 1st gen 7 bolt engine with a stock crank .020 over, stock stroke, ACL race bearings with Eagle h beams and Wiseco pistons. This won't be a daily driver but i would possibly like to drive it daily through summer and fall which is about 7 or 8 months where live. I plan on running 300-350 whp, and was hoping to get 30,000+ miles out of this block. Is this an unrealistic goal with this setup? Also, one of my concerns is the acl race bearings being too hard for a stock crank(thus taking away longevity) is this true? thanks for the help in advance. DSMtuners is the best!

my friend have eagle rods, wiseco pistons with acl race bearings and his motor is 65k miles now. also his running 630awhp daily. that is the best combo i had ever seen.:p
 
It will work fine, some will argue and say it would be better to run an oem block at that low of HP. Me included. There are some negatives about forged alluminum like piston slap and some other stuff that would allow the OEM to outlive the forged motor.
 
I'm using off the shelf Wisecos and Eagles making about 600 WHP right now. They've been great components for me. I've have no problems or concerns with running 40 psi and shifting at 9K.

Wow! Turning 9K and 40PSI with the eagle rods?! Sounds dangerous but it must be a fun ride:hellyeah:

94talontd: the engine even with race bearings should last a long time as long as you keep up maintenance on a regular schedule. Get a nice tune that isn't pushing the limits, and have fun with the build. im doing the same set-up but i have a 6-bolt block.
 
durabilty will be what the right foot dictates....
no matter if it is a 150hp "bone stock" build or a 1000 hp all out build up

you have to have a proper amount of strenghting parts along with the power improving mods.

and make sure the tune is done proper.

ACL race bearings are harder true, but needed for high HP build ups, the stock replacement fed. mog. bearings have a softer face so they embed the debris, but will "smash out" under high loads.
the crank rids on a film of oil, not the bearings.
As long as the oil is changed proper, with a good oil filter, there is no reason for the ACL race bearings not to go 100k miles
 
sounds like youll be fine damn wish i had the money to do this i just did head gasket and arp head studs and called it a day but i might get a built gst for 600 with a aem e management system and safc and reciets for built motor =) what a steal and i still offered him 400
