Hey whats up I haven't been on here in a while, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the avengance the other night when they saw me driving the srt4. They must be a member on here because they asked where my talon was...... sorry I didn't recognize you. But if you see a black srt4 with two a pillar gauges on it and a short kid with glasses and brown hair (frodo) driving that would be me. Its my friends car, rather zippy on 18 psi...

that was my friend matt, he recognized you from the first time we met up in front of bartz

i'd just want the tires. what size are they, and what brand are they.

So, its been awhile since I drove my car....

Last sunday I started my swap on my car. :thumb: I was thinking it wouldn't be to bad!!! Boy was I f@ckin wrong. Well as of tonight the motor is finally in and all fluid has been changed! Yeaaaaaa, not :shhh:

It all started last year July! My transfercase, Tranny siezed and Balace shaft belt snapped all at the same time! OMG Amazing, no sh*t! The balance belt might have snapped way earlier because I was having really bad timing issues with it, but anyways.
A guy I know up north totalled his car, and I bought the motor out of his 99 GSX, I got a really good deal and the ####er had under 20,000 miles on it, compared to my 90,000.
Well basiclly the car and new motor sat for almost a whole year. You could probably go back about a year in the forum and read about it being towed home. To be short it got towed home on a flat bed, chained to tree and pulled off the tow truck
Well why it sat, I had 2 options fix my 96 honda civic, or my eclipse?!?!??!?! I had a Mini van for a beater so I didn't care which it was. Well my friends g/f just had an ITR swap (integra type-r for those who don't know) just done so I bought her motor also (it came from a 99 also and had less then 20,000 on it too). I decided I would swap the motor on my civic because I had no clue on how I was going to get my eclipse in the garage since it was parked on grass. Exaclly 1.5 days later I had my civic running again.

Well in Feb. I managed to get my car on my trailer since it was Icy and snowy out, and with a winch and a little bit of man power I got my eclipse into my dads garage (I'll tell you its not f*cking easy moving a care with a siezed tranny and transfer case its you worst f*cking nightmare when it comes to a awd car) :) where it once again sat unitl last sunday. I figured I liked the looks of civics (I think they look like mini M3's) so I pimped the civic, put exhaust, header, lowered, rims, jdm, blah blah blah. Its a auto single cam, its ment to look good not fast Though let me get on track again. (the civic stuff does play a key role in my post, btw this is all forethoughts in perenthesis.) I decided to save money and I would build my DSM for the street and semi track. Well I got all my parts finally and started last sunday. I worked on it all day sunday, and from 12-12 on monday till now which I quit!! 5 days to swap!!!! 5 ####ing days, and you know what It just pisses me off. First off my transfer case is now leaking my axle boot blew off ?!?! and my exhaust manifold leaks like a sive :barf: I havn't given up yet on it, but this is the thing...
Why it only took me 1.5 days to swap my civic out? and I did a swap with my friend 2 months ago we managed to swap his b18c1 (integra gsr) out his car into his new car in one day? The next day "BUILT A TURBO KIT USING MOST OF MY DSM PARTS" and had it out that night kicking the crape out of people. Though not to insult my DSM I should have gotten another honda when I decided to buy my DSM, but I love AWD. Anyways I feal like Im mumbiling but thanks to those who listen to me vent. If anyone knows alot about working on DSMS and wants to join me on working on this if I don't finish it feal free to send me a message, we'll chill smoke weed (i didn't say that did i) and drink beer why I insult my car more j/k.... (about the weed and insults)

anyways I'll keep my local dsmers updated too on my car.

Question for u guys when i start my car i hear sounds liek the lifters are not adj right but it makes a clicking sound. The oil presure is at the line on the gauge i have a oil pre gauge haha but i havn't hooked it up yet i was j/w if any of u guys had this same prob i use 10/30 syn oil is there a check valve in the mitsu filters and the aftermarket ones don't have them so it pumps up into the system. thanks jason

If your asking if the mitsu filter has a check valve. Yes it does. Kuettner explained to me that our engines need a little extra oil on start up and the aftermarket filters don't have this check valve that a mitsu does.(Just what I was told) Cause mine always ticked on start up, until I switched to the mitsubishi and gone. No more ticking. Once in a while you hear it on start up, but that means getting near time for new oil.

:dsm: Sittin in Elkhorn, almost finished with my 98 GST, or Project Reborn. Anyone close to here? PM Me. (Dont have time to read the 60 some pages! LOL) :dsm:

Hey guys... I'm having major electrical issues w/ my gsx that i'm putting together. I was wondering if anyone in the Milwaukee area would be willing to come to my house so we can compare the wiring to make sure i have everything hooked up correctly. Incase your wondering I have spark and fuel in the rail, but the injectors aren't firing. So we have problems. Scott is helping me, but he isn't real familar w. the wiring on a 90(since its all f'd up), so any help would be appreciated. Also, Anyone who can get my car running gets a cash reward :thumb:
