whos gonna be out on highway tonight??? ill be out in the avenger. if any of you guys wanna meet up, ill be in front of Bartz (which is across from Saturn of Greenfield) at 9:45-10pm. but i gotta go to work now ill be back around 4

I will probably be down there tonight, not sure if I will be driving my car or if I will drive in my friends civic. I really want to ride with him since he car kicks the crap out of mine and he just got it out of storage. Purple civic with CF hood, otherwise my car is a 91 TSI black with the silver trim.

I drove next to a green avenger for a while on saturday was wondering if it was you or not? I got 21 psi out my 60trim to work great then it started loosing traction through first and second gear and now it breaks up again , what the hell...

yeah that was me.. did u ever end up racing that blue srt4 or the white turbo 240sx?

YAY!! Just got back from chicago working on my car. Heres a short list of the things I did in 2 days:

*Replaced O2 sensor
*Cleaned throttle body
*Cleaned IAC or ISC (idle speed controller motor thats mounted on throttle body)
*replugged in back up light switch ( why it was unplugged?)
*replugged in main ground (double for why it was unplugged)
*took out red spray painted interior pieces (ashtray, little box thingy with spring, little "coin holder" next to box thingy, and little nubs things) and sandblasted all the crappily sprayed redness off. going to repaint in a week
*removed lock cylinder in drivers side door (doesnt work with key , getting it fixed)
*fixed stupid ass window on drivers side (temporarily)
*fixed hatch struts (ones in it werent strong enough to support hatch )
*Replaced all wiper blades

Pretty good list for a 16 year old with NO car experience at all eh (with manuals of course)?

The car is also going to get repainted stock colors (Ill ask that question in exterior forums ), and is going to get this stuff dropped into it in spring break (2 weeks):

*2.4 4g64 w/ 16g turbo
*Supra SMIC
*new clutch
*new 3rd gear synchro (its fudged up big time)
*new "front turn signal light" drivers side
*gonna take off parking lights make em clear corner
*TRY to make the pop up lights non-pop up
*new wheels
*new tires

Thats about it

You should have waved or something! Those two cars are both my friends. I raced the 240 when i was on 12 psi and we were dead even and I beat my other friends srt4 on 15 psi. It was great though cuz it was spinning the wheels in 2nd pretty bad with the rain The damn stutter came back today and won't go away. I cant f*cking figure it out.

To dsmkevan: Whats all done to the 2.4 I assume it has the head swap and everything, what fuel are you running?

Im not the one whos doing the 2.4 swap. But Im sure everything will be worked out like it should, the person who is doing it is a great mechanic (my uncle), and can get help from tons of people that know about dsm's and overall swapping and such. But it probably wont even be close to done at spring break (1 week), so Im not expecting it just yet.

We were going to drop in the 2.4 and the new turbo when the clutch dies (so we could just drop out engine and tranny and fix both at same time). We will also replace the 3rd gear synchro or just get a brand new tranny when that happens too.

If I dont get the 2.4 it will still be kickass

edit: Its running everything stock right now, but Im going to throw in a new fuel pump, rewire it, possibly new injectors, buschur downpipe, maybe custom exhaust, manual boost controller, boost gauge, and other stuffs when I go down to work on it next.

Well guys... the moment of truth is coming... My car should be running soon. I believe i have everything i need, just waiting on my radiator in the mail and my exhaust mani from scott. If this car doesn't start up I swear i'm going to end up killing someone.

Andy.... dont worry, its been loaded for weeks now anticipating its use... everyday i hate these cars more and more, but as soon as i feel the turbo spool, that hate will just go away (untill it break 2 min later)

i know the feeling, and itll make you feel a whole lot better if you just upgrade from a gun to the rocket launcher right now, just make sure u got plenty of ammo.... trust me

I may, have to figure out if I can afford the 15$ and where Id want to put them on the car also. Working on budgeting for a RnR 3" SS turbo back exhaust atm since its on sale for such a nice price!!!!!!!!!
