Tensions are rising, why can't we all just get along
I'm not trying to start anything, just voicing my opinion on facts that I have seen. Hell maybe my area is a blackhole for evos, but I would see the evos in the shop more than any new car that they had. I saw less dsms than evos even.

hey now, this flaming is starting to get out out control :| were all supposed to stick together... and you know..... hate everyone from illinois except for nick and fattie92

Thats a shame they are being serviced alot, but after witnessing what some of the owners do to these cars its not surprising in the least, the car however is lighyears beyond the 1g and 2g as far as strength and engineering go, wether you start at the increased flow of all manifolds and exhaust, to the fuel and ecu, to the suspension, to the transmission with a new design, simple services dont really show anything, also most 1g and 2g owners do NOT take their cars to the dealership, however the warranty behind the evo allows for an owner to hear a slight rattle and have the whole car torn apart for free because they think something is wrong. If 1G and 2Gs were still all stock and under warranty how many of them do you think would be in a dealer being serviced? Every last one.

I whole-heartedly agree with you, and true with the warranty you could bring the car in for ANYTHING and it would be covered. But 8 times out of 10 it would be incredibly weird stuff, like parts falling off, interior peices doing weird crap, and this is beyond me, but rust?

My buddy has an Mustang Dynomax AWD Dyno out at his shop in Waukesha. (my car is weak). He has had tons of evos out there. Almost none of them were up to 275 whp with minor bolt ons. But one white one with a cf hood was around 305 whp. He said it was pretty nice. Couple sti's, audi, and a 700 hp nova!!! I would of like to see that thing on there. But these guys know their stuff and if you wanna get dynoed let me know. I will put the info up on here later. I left my wallet at home. And if anybody knows whos white evo that was it is on the business card now... :thumb:

What is the shop called, and do they do tuning? I need my car tuned using dsmlink. The white Evo may have been the owner of midnight tuning, he has a white one wiht a cf hood if I am not mistaken. Also what are the rates like for a dyno session?
Thanks
Doug
