dh,
ok heres the thing, I was told the other day that there is a way to wire my aem uego into my safc2 and i can use the safc2 to data log. Is this true? i have looked through the safc2 manual and looked through the forums and google and i see some talk about using them together but no instructions on how to wire them together. I know u can log the Uego but it wont show rpms unless you buy the aem logger which i cant afford, any suggestions or info?

If you tunning with safc I would just use the wideband signal from the gauge to tune. That's what I did.Best would to get dsmlink and wire uego to ecu.I think theres a way to send stock o2 reading into the safc. But if you have a wideband installed that works fine just read it off the gauge and tune.

No, that is incorrect.

What you probably heard is using the two together WITH a data logger to get a good AFR@WOT with no knock.

i do think your right. now if i were to use the aem data logger program on the aem web site, i know it will show my a/f but wont show rpm, is there a way to put that into the program too without buying the actual datalogger?

I'm not sure what your talking about, please provide a link to what your referring.

Oh wow why would you want that? First the SAFC and that data logger are two different things. Second, thats one of the most expensive data loggers I've ever seen. Why not got get link or something? Or AEM FIC for that matter as I believe it data logs as well however not sure if its compatible .

nooo LOL not the aem logger, the download is free and with the aem uego u can buy a 30 dollar cable and hook it to a labtop and use it to data log but the only thing is it wont show rpm, unless somone knows a way to send the rpm to the lab top that is

I'll be honest I didn't click the link. I read "it wont show rpm" and that to me seems like it is not actually a real logger, which would be a very basic output that can be read.

If you aren't going to use a logger, tune your AFRs to 10.1-10.7 @WOT to avoid knock but honestly I would just ditch the SAFC , save up the money and get ECMLink. You won't regret buying it and will be capable of making way more power.

There is plenty of info on data logging on this forum.

I think its like the Innovate lc-1 wb. You can get a separate 0-5v signal input device and the hook in line with the lc-1 then get the data output to a laptop that Innovate's logging software can display and log.

If the AEM system is anything like Innovates :idontknow: then there is no way to connect an outside signal.
