I am building a harness from pigtails and need a little help. I am wiring a 2g maf directly to a 1g ecu with a 2g maf pigtail.
On VFAQ, 2G MAF in a 1G TEL/GVR4 ,it lists the pinouts as:
Wire use according to the ECU wiring diagrams, 1G
1 - Idle position switch 5 - None
2 - Air flow sensor 6 - Ground for sensors
3 - MPI control relay 7 - Barometric pressure sensor
4 - 5V power supply for sensors 8 - Intake air temp sensor
Wire use according to the ECU wiring diagrams, 2G
1 - 5V power supply for sensors 5 - Ground for sensors
2 - Barometric pressure sensor 6 - Intake air temp sensor
3 - Air flow sensor 7 - Volume air flow sensor reset signal
4 - MPI control relay 8 - None
I understand how to wire all the connections that have exact matches. From what I can see it shows #1(idle position switch) on 1G gets connected to #7(volume air flow sensor reset signal) on the 2G . Is this correct? I want to make sure before I solder everything.

. I totally misunderstood you and thought you were still talking about the 2g maf wiring for some reason.
