Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the ignition system, looking for a tach wire to splice into for a racing tach.

1996 Talon Printout

12 Volts:White
Starter:Black/red
Ignition:Black/white
Accessory:Blue/black
All at ignition switch

Tachometer:White
At instrument cluster or PCM. The PCM is located on the drivers side of the engine compartment or behind the center of the dash depending on motor.

There is definitely an easier place to get the tach. There is a test plug somewhere(not sure where) or you could go to the negative of any fuel injector(not ideal)

The tach signal on your 2g is either on the white wire of the power transistor, or the white on the stock tach gauge, or the white on ECU pin 58 (2G Turbo ECU Pinouts).
