Wiper Issues

I have searched but haven't found anything simple enough.

My wiper's come on randomly, I just pulled the fuse out after finding a diagram of the box, and yes with bumps but doesn't always change or turn off with bumps either.. thinking it may be the wiper motor or the wiring going into the motor.

Where and how exactly is best way to check / change it? I am not good at all with electrical issues to be honest... thanks for any help.

Changing the motor is pretty easy. Just take off the wiper arms followed by the plastic shield underneath them. Then its only a couple of ten mm or 12mm bolts to take the motor out. As far as finding a replacement you could either search the junk yards, or go and buy a new one

On the topic of windsheild wipers, is it common for the washer jets to freeze up with washer fluid when it gets really cold out? If its around 20 degrees and under, my jets don't shoot out fluid.

Nozzles for the.washer fluid freezes yes..my guess would be the switch

Wheres the switch relay at?

I think found the right diagram which shows the switch is in the steering column. Do you need to pull the steering wheel off or just the cover? thanks for any help.

Well replaced the wiper switch with one from a junk yard and wasn't it.. so now time to look into the motor i guess

The wiper motor doesn't take very long to swap out. Pocket one from the salvage yard and be done with it.

Very much so. I make sure and clear mine off everytime it snows and make sure and use a winter washer fluid (and I'm saying it needed or not, don't be cheap and try to dilute the stuff with water...) If you are using a winter blend and the nozzles get frozen pure rubbing alcohol on them will break up the ice on the sprayer.... I've had to do that a few times too...

As for the initial posts problem. If you already replaced the fuse and the switch go with trying a new motor. Make sure and check your wires going on there too. Are there any other problems with the car to suggest it might be something electrical?

Sorry for late response but I am going to swipe out the motor today and check my wires going to the wiper motor first. No electrical issues that I know of / have knowledge of.

I know my anti lock light is always on and idk why.
