I just read a couple posts about ppl re routing their Windshield sprayer to use into the intaje to help cool IATs. Is that serious and more importantly safe?

Or were they meaning they were spraying it on the outside of the intercooler?

Now your just getting into obvious information thats apparent to even the novice Turbo user. I also do agree that meth/water injection is great. On a DD though its not the most safe route.

How do you figure its not safe. With a correctly setup system it will only activate on a preset boost level and has built in fail safes. I ran a gallon container in the trunk with a line run under the car up into the engine bay. Had it for 3 years running 550 awhp and had zero issues except for when i first installed it i forgot to install a check valve because my tank sat higher than the nozzle.

As far as spitting out novice info about the gains of water misting the ic thats realistically what its for. someone looking to get the most out of a stock system or a system that has reached its peak before stepping up to the next setup.

Like i stated in my first post a proper size and efficient intercooler is a better choice than the water sprayer. I do concede that water spraying has its place but for the price of a store bought setup you can get a better core for a front mount that will give a more beneficial cooling that isn't effecting if the water tank runs dry. On my 3000gt i did make my own water sprayer setup for the intercoolers and couldn't see any difference when I dynoed the car because the heat soak from the turbos on the stock smic quickly overcame the cooling ability of the water.

We all know keeping your car cool or at a best operating temp is good. But real time measures none of those sprayer thingy magigers are worth it. Unless you need to pinch out every last bit of your car go for it. But just keep regular maintenance it will run fine.

Getting your panties in a bunch bro.

not really. i could care less what people think about me or my car. im here for fun and community.

when i am getting major spinal surgery at 8am today to remove a cyst from my spine i find it hard to get upset by someone disagreeing with me on the internet. If either one of you was here im sure this conversation would have been pretty lighthearted and with a few beers and laughs.

Let me analyze this a bit.

New member searches (OMG) and apparently comes across a thread on an interesting topic. New member starts a new thread on the topic as the existing thread is located in a forum in which new member cannot post. Understandable.

Here's where I get a bit confused....new member then proceeds to verbally bash the members that are helping him, dragging the entire thread he created off-topic. Why would new member do such a thing?

Condescension = closed thread. I don't have time to clean up threads that are drawn off-topic by ignorant thread starters. Consider this your one and only warning.
