windshield wiper fluid reservoir

Hey guys, I've been a member here for quite some time using it as pretty much my main source of research and information for DSMS. Recently ( i.e. today ) I bought a 97 gst. Runs like a bat outta hell for sure. Just have a couple of questionos about some kinda simple things. First off, there is no windshield wiper fluid reservoir. The hood has the shooters but no hose coming down from where they hook up together at. I went fully heartedly and got a tube to connect the shooters to the reservoir just to call myself an idiot cause i didnt have one. Is this how they are stock? If not, what would it take to replace it(money, parts, time...will do repair myself).

Also, the antenna is broken. the previous owner claims to have gone thru a car wah and it snapped off. How difficult/expensive is this to replace?

Well, you could always go to a local junkyard and look around for the reservoir. If not, you could try the Mitsu dealer... doesn't sound to pricey to me. A little bottle? C'mon now... hope they don't charge you an arm.

Pop the hatch. I'm pretty sure 2g's have them in the back. Don't quote me on it though b/c I have a 1g. I have a reservoir in the back of my car for the rear wiper as well, but I thought that I had read that the thing for 2g's is in the back.

My 2g gst has the resivor in the hatch, Which is where you will find yours.

My buddy's 95 TSi AWD has its resovoir in the hatch as well. Im 99% sure that its how the 2G's are. Sorry if Im wrong.

About the antenna... shop around a bit yourself on that one. Machv.com was just one of the first sites I came across that had one. Maybe you could find one at a much better price. BTW, Machv seem to be a bit pricey if you ask me anyway. Just a nice place to window shop.

the 2g turbos have them in the back, the 2g n/t have them on the firewall right by the battery.

ok thanks. So all i need to know now is where the windshield wiper fluid hose come out in the engine compartment so i can hook up my new tube so i can get them working good. Im going to guess its on the right since thats the side my fill spot is...but clarification would be nice. I like how its nice and tucked away like it is back there.
