Windows rolled down in my RS and shut the door it makes a big clanking Sound?????????

Most cars without window frames will do this. I doesn't help when people close the door by pushing on the window!!

FYI: all f-bodies have frameless windows, t-tops or not :)

Well the fix I posted works, so why not go out this weekend and pick up some of the great stuff foam and just get to work fixing the window rattle and the panel creaks, it's supposed to be a nice weekend here on the east coast anyway, perfect time to do it. And I know all of you have 20 minutes to spare :). I wish I could show you guys my drivers door (which is the only one I've had time to do since the weather has been so bad and cold lately) because if you saw it I guarantee you'd be right out there doing it.

How much is this foam? I know there's spray foam specifically for sound deadening (car audio) and it's hella expensive....hopefully this stuff is alot cheaper.

It's called "great stuff" and can be found in Home Depot or any other similar store. It runs no more than $5 a can. Be aware, the stuff sticks to EVERYTHING, so I suggest you wear gloves. ;)

I just tested out your remedy, and sprayed the foam also. The windows still rattle, but by no means do they clank when I shut the door, I want to thank you for your tip on that, and it seriously took no more than 30 mins (gotta wait for the foam to harden a bit)

any pictures on where to put the foam?

Going to attempt this soon, maybe tomorrow or so.. And want to know exactly where to put it for best results.. Im more of a visual guy.

LOL...no pics, but when you take off the door panel, you will see all the dips and curves in it. Just light it all up. And DONT GET IT ON YOUR HANDS! Seriously, I ended up with black hands for 3 days.

I told you it stuck to everything :p

So you are not putting it in the door, but just on the inside of the door panel then?

I've used Great Stuff on my Jeep before, i actually filled a gaping hole in my rocker panel with it, then bondoed over it-- but when used on the rear hatch panels, does it deaden any rattling and vibrations from a subwoofer? I'm lookin at the grim possiblity of having to blow too much money on a dynamat kit for my eclipse, but this great stuff fix doesnt sound bad---also my window rattles like madness when the sub hits, does the fix posted above stop the rattling?
