I'm in the process of an AWD Swap on my 98 GS-T. What I'm looking todo is make it to where when I stick the key in the drivers door and hold it on the lock position it will close my sunroof and roll my windows up. I would like the same function for putting them down. I know this is a convenience feature/ luxury feature like in BMW's and some Nissan's. Does any one know of a module that I can wire in to make this work. I would prefer to buy a new module and not have to retro fit any components from different cars as that would require me to reverse engineer it. I'm sure this can be done. Any thoughts...........

Our door locks have a two way switch on the back side of them, even the trunk lock has one. Don't know why the trunk lock has one. But it is originally made that if you turn the key to unlock twice, it will unlock both doors, and when you lock the door, it will lock both doors.

What you could do is find some sort of timer device. Something that you could set that when it has power or ground signal (ground better) for like 5 seconds, it will power on whatever the device you have it connected to.

But if you wanted it connected to all the windows, you would need a decent ammount of wireing, soldering and technological skills, Resistors, Relays and so on. Might be able to find a device to do this automatically, I'm not sure. I always thought about doing it for separate windows.

I'm not really looking to go with something as costly as viper, I know the 530t is an option but I'm looking for an all in one module. I know there are modules out there to use for auto start something that will piggy back off the factory alarm system, I've been searching the internet for 2 days look and still nothing :(

I think the only thing out there is the DEI 530t for what your looking to do. Don't need to get an alarm, all you need is a negative feed to operate the 530t. You might have to get 2 modules if you want the sunroof to open as well. Also, a few diodes so that when you manually lock/unlock it doesn't always open/close the windows.

Check the output of the lock and unlock when you turn the key at the door/solenoid if it puts out a constant or single pulse +/-.

I've done one before with an alarm and you'll have to run additional wires from the 530t module to the switch motor inside the doors. Might be the same with the sunroof too.

yeah thats why I was saying something that will run off of a timer, that way it doesn't activate everytime you turn the key. it would actually require voltage or ground signal to be activated for a specific amount of time before it did the process you wanted it to do.

Check the output of the lock and unlock when you turn the key at the door/solenoid if it puts out a constant or single pulse +/-.

I'm not sure, but I believe it should be a negative signal due to positive being hot. As for the type, Its a very basic lil switch, like a very basic potentiometer, it puts out the signal when the key turns to the left or right. Nothing else.
