windows 7 and evoscan

Anyone running win 7 and evoscan 2.7 having issues reading CELS? I get 2 error messages when trying to connect to read the codes.
keep in mind that I can log just fine. The error I get is either-
1. Cannot read from ECU
2. Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow

anyone ever have this issue?

I have the laptop plugged in and running full power so that isn't the issue.

I use EvoScan on both Vista and 7 and have no issues, other then some issues logging a 420A. What cable are you using?

I don't even know how you two got it to run on windows 7. I got evoscan for 5 months now and I haven't log my car once.

I'm using the Tactrix openport 2.0 cable. the USB cable part busted on mine so I'm using one from my PS3 (used to charge the remote) I don't think that would make a difference though.

I am using the 1.3 cable, perhaps the problem is with the cable?

Run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

what bit windows 7 do you have? It worked fine for me when I was running Vista 64 bit.

I personally have 64-bit.

It's weird how it worked fine with Vista 64bit. I even tried it on a Windows XP virtual PC and still fails.

I'm really thinking it might be the cable, might be a compatibility issue? I am also using 2.6 BTW.

I'm going to see if another guy can come over with XP and try it out with the same cable. The cable is supposed to work fine with evoscan so I don't think that would bet he issue.

Not a compatibility with ES, maybe with Windows 7?

could be, but then you would "think" it would work fine with XP virtual mode. After all thats the whole point of having the virtual xp mode, so programs can work that don't with 7 yet
