I am trying to log data from TMO on windows 7. I changed compatibility and changed port to 1, 2, 3, and 4. no results.

and

I installed the palm emulator and uploaded palm n stien, and mmcd.
I get a xxx0000000053(not exact) code. My data cable is a serial, so I got a adapter to usb. no luck. So i bought a ghetto old laptop adding 10 pounds to the talon. It has a serial port. still trying to load programs onto it, but it lacks storage.
Im getting super tired trying to figure this out.
Please talon guys, help me out. Im new to this and could use a step by step to get my up and rolling. I would prefer to use my newer laptop with windows 7, and TMO or palm emulator.

Thanks in advance:thumb:

that wont work. Since palm pilot is pretty old, there hasnt been any new updates for it to work with windows 7. your gonna just have to use vista or anything older

Try install this driver it's for palm devices for windows 7 64-bit here's the link. This driver pack is for windows 7 to recognize palm devices it worked for my palm m500

I can log without a problem via A palm emulator running MMCD an using Win7 with a ECMlink v3 cable

You sure your trying to use the correct com port sometimes It auto assigns a really high com port an wont work an shoots a similar code pretty sure you have to assign it in the 3-5 range for most these programs

Also if your cable is setup for a palm to use via a laptop you need a null modem adapter or switch thr two wires that arent ground for the cable

It could also be the USB to serial adapter you are using. I have read posts in various places where the USB to serial adapter made the difference when trying to hot sync palms and windows 7. Manhattan and ATEN are brands that have been reported to work.

Also check the hardware settings in windows 7. I have had to reset them several times to get my palm to sync even with a good Manhattan usb to serial adapter.
