Hello,

I have looked at all the 2g window rattle posts but the pictures don't work. This is the one:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-miscellaneous/57412-fix-2g-window-rattle.html. Does anyone have the pictures? My problem is the window will go down just fine.....coming up is another story. It will come up if I pull on it while using the switch. I tightened up the two pads that the window slides against and that took care of my rattle. Couldn't figure out what "clip" all the window rattle threads were talking about. The window has room to move away from the slides they are not binding it at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No it was about a week after I snugged up the sliders. It was going up slow before that so I guess it would be the motor going out.

Does anyone have the pictures that go with thus link"?http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-miscellaneous/57412-fix-2g-window-rattle.html

I just did this yesterday and trust me, as soon as you get the window rolled up 3/4 (closer to 7/8 IMO), and you get all the screws out of the door panel (6), then remove the speaker, you'll see the problem...

Its the first bracket closest to the front of the car... You won't need pictures once you actually start working on it...

You should be loosening the nut through the speaker hole... If you have big hands its not gonna be easy, but if you drop the nut its easily retrievable at least (compared to a 1g)...

It honestly took me one relaxed hour of my time, and its super easy other than that damn nut...

the window needs viagra LOLo nah man check to make sure the window is in correctly but the motor sounds shot

I went out and looked at it again this morning. When you run the window down it doesnt want to stop when it hits the bottom. The motor continues to spin till I hit up on the switch The factory service manual is pretty useless as far as the windows go. I found a guy here in town with the motor and regulator for $20. How hard is it to replace all of that? It sure makes it nice when the windows work....LOL. I cannot find any pieces sitiing in the bottom of the door so I dont think anything has broken off. The only thing I see is a nut that goes through the glass but it is snug. Is this the thing that fixes the window rattle? Thanks

It sure is! if your switch doesn't turn off its pretty easy to rebuild them, its usually just carbon that's inside the switch... Take it apart and use a pencil eraser... Just be careful not to break any tabs!

There is nothing wrong with the switch. IWhen you hit down the window goes down all the way from the factory. When it hits bottom it should stop. It does not stop motor keeps running till I manually hit the switch to up. Can anyone on here tell me how to remove the window? I have a new motor and regulator and want to replace it but no one seems to be able to explain how to remove the window from the door. I can get it off the regulator but it wont come out of door. After I get it out I will clean out the tracks and relube as needed. And I am still looking for some pictures from the window rattle post so I can be sure at what I'm looking at. The link is in one of my above posts.
