Need window to go up

I just bought a 92 talon tsi shell. it has power windows. it has no motor or tranny. the harness is still thier though. I want to roll up the window but i can't get any power to it seems like anything in the car. i hook up the battery to the postitive and negative harness. when i turn the key to on all i see is the brake light and the seat belt light. the radio doesn't go on, the windows don't go up. what should i do. Thanks

um, yeah, is that a mistake that you might make. the guy i bought the car from also tried to hook up the battery and push the button but it didn't work for him either. could i just hook the battery right up to the window motor or what.

Yes you can hook it to the window motor. It really easy had to do it when my motor went bad in my window.

or I believe you can do it manually. You have to take the door skin off and find the motor. Somehow you open in and it releases the window and you can put it up then reassemble and such. There should be an easier way but I had to do it as a last resort once.

Check the Alt fuse in the underhood fuse box to make sure it is good. Also make sure the wire that comes from it is conneted to the pos. terminal. Turned out to be our problem when we got our talon and nothing worked in the car.

the fuse is still good. when i did have the battery hooked up and stuff i was able to use the turn signals and rear wiper. so i think that most of the stuff works on the inside of my car. for the windows does anyone know what to apply the power to. i used the switch in the car to find which terminals "open" when i hit the up switch. thier are 2, i just connected the positve to the one red wire and the negative to the other and nothing happened. any other suggestions
