Will this work with Gm Mas and Maft?

I want to get a gm mas and maft. I know that you need tuning software, would this be sufficient? I don't want to drop a huge amount on a logger.

you dont need tuning software to use a gm maf and maft. the maft actually can be used as a tuning tool ie upgrading to bigger injectors. now the logger on ebay. i have never really trusted ebay but looks like a good deal..just be careful.....but thats my .02 cents...hope it helps...goodluck with the dsm

That should be sufficient to log what you need for tuning. I actually run the mmcd software myself and have been very happy with it. And with feedback like that, I wouldnt be concerned with buying from him. One thing to keep in mind is after shipping, you will spend a total of about $110. If you keep looking, you can find a palm m105(non color) for $20, a cable for palm for about $20, and the mmcd software is free.

So if I get a Gm Mas and Maft I can just use that and I wont need anything else? Thats the immpression that I get. Someone told me that I would need a logger to run it. I just wanna be sure and not screw something up. Thanks for the help guys.

when altering your fuel deliverly system is it highly recommended that you use some sort of tuning device. Do you need to buy it, no not really. I lend my old ODB-II pocketlogger to my freinds all the time since I have bought DSMlink. I have seen my fair share of mishapps from tuning without a logger. 1 friend went -40 on a SAFC (dont ask how since he does not know) stock injectors and pump gas, melted 2 nice groves in a few valves. I would play it safer than sorry. Talk to a few local DSMers, chances are one will go out with you and bring a logger for a simple combo meal from Carls Jr. Once you have a descent tune its not as if you need to log everysecond your in the car. Set it (usually a little safe) and forget it.
