Will this laptop work with dsmlink?

I have researched a bunch of other threads and I came up with that you should use the minimum of 266 MHz and 32 Mb ram to run dsmlink properly. I am a computer illiterate when it comes to understanding ram, MHz, processors, Mb and all that stuff. Will this one work for a dsmlink?

Yes, it will work. But it will be very slow. This would be much better. It's twice the price but a lot better laptop. It doesn't have a serial port, but many users are using a USB to serial adaptor.

I would search through your Local papers and whatnot, should be able to get a half decent laptop for fairly cheap.

dude u can even jsut check out dell they are always having sales on notebooks, and for the price of the other laptop u can ge a new one for like 450 to 500. just a thought

Okay. The only reason I ask is cause I can get it for 50 bucks. But if it's going to be to slow I will keep my eyes out for something a bit faster. Thanks for all the quick replies.

That's the best website I've found for deals on electronics. I bought my laptop with a coupon code from that site. It was 1500 I paid 760 with tax and s&h.
But for $50 I would get until you find something better for cheap

Dude get it for $50. My $100 laptop is worse than that one and it runs DSMLink just fine. Mine is a p266 with 64mb of ram and like a 3 gb hard drive. It also runs on quite possibly the worst operating system ever, windows ME.

The guy did a bunch of memory upgrades to it but, I just wasn't sure if it would work or not. So, do you think I should get it just to get me by for now or should I look for something better?
