I searched around and didn't really find what I was looking for...

Anyway, I ordered new rims, and was told that I SHOULDN'T have any problems with rubbing, etc...but just to be sure I'm seeing what everyone has to say about them. I'm getting 18x7.5 rims with a 42mm offset. My car is lowered about 2" and the rear fenders are already rolled. Does anyone see any potential problems with these rims? Thanks...

I know those rims would be fine on a car at stock height. 2" is a fairly drastic drop, and although I don't forsee any problems with easy driving, definitely watch out for pot holes, speed bumps, etc., just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the posts...Yeah, I do like my rims, but I've wanted gunmetal 18's on my car...so I'm giving my existing rims to my girlfriend for her 2g... :thumb:

also post current offset and the tire size and brand on the 18s

i read you have 215/45/17 Kumho Ecsta but their are 10 types of ecsta(which ones do u have)

The tires I'm using are Kumho Ecsta 711's, and I believe that the offset for the rims I'm using right now are 40mm.

as long as you keep the overall dia. of your new tire at about 24.5 you should be ok

have you decided on a new tire brand yet?

I think it'll be VERY close to the same overall diameter. As for the tires, I will be going with some Proxes T1S's...got a really good deal on them.
