will non turbo shifter cables work on turbo fwd cars??

I can get used shifter cables from 90-94 non-turbo DSMs for $5.00 a piece, which I rather do than pay $100.00 at the dealership. Are the 1G non turbo shifter cables compatible with the 1G FWD turbo transmission and shifter???

I would expect it to be the same provided they ised the same "model" trans in both. Being that the shifter and the trans are in the same locations in either the length should be exact. To make sure, I check with Mitsu for the part #'s.
